Maxey's Pumpkins 2022

As I’m sure many of you will know I am always up for getting into the spooky season spirit and this weekend we went to Maxey’s farm to peruse the pumpkin patch and pick the best for us to carve and cook ready for Halloween!

We have been to Maxey’s pumpkin farm before and were not disappointed so it was a no brainer for us to go again, it was £3 each to get in and under 16’s go free, but well worth it in my eyes because after all it’s a once a year occurrence and there is plenty to do, especially if you’re going with the kids.

There are a few different activities to do when you go in, a spooky woodland walk, bouncy castles and food stalls as well as a tractor ride! And not forgetting actually picking out pumpkins out and snapping a few pics for Instagram whilst doing so… obviously.

We had burgers from the Bewitched BBQ stand that did not disappoint followed by some pancaked from the Cobweb Crepe stand, the Nutella and marshmallow one was to die for but I would suggest checking your chops for chocolate afterwards as they can be a little bit messy.
If that doesn’t tickle your fancy there was the Devillish Deli serving homemade sausage rolls amongst other goodies too that might be more up your street.

If you’re not really in the mood for food there were some ice cream and hot drink stands and the farm shop stand where I treated us to some millionaires shortbread alongside 2 spooky gingerbread biscuits we had tucked up that night on the sofa watching spooky game run-throughs on YouTube. All in all we had a really nice afternoon and would recommend a visit this week before they close the pumpkin field on Halloween!

Are you going pumpkin picking this year?
